This learning plan is based on the Washington State Early Learning and Development Guidelines (link on my homepage) for children ages 3-4, focusing on #3 Touching, seeing, hearing and moving around. It encourages students to build foundational science and math skills through communicating and listening, using their home language and preferred communication methods. Students will draw on the information they already know while exploring new words and concepts through observation and reflection. This activity assumes competence, is accessible, and fosters collaboration between students and adults from planning to reflection.
